Cyanotype portraits that reinterpret photographs of the people, relationships and moments we want to hold onto. Each print is exposed by sunlight and finished by hand, giving every image its own marks, depth and sense of time.
Developed in 1842, cyanotype is one of photography’s earliest printing processes. Iron salts and light create its distinctive Prussian blue. The works shown here were created by Gabby Villalba and come from our archive; they are not for sale. Portrait commissions based on a photograph are available in a range of formats.
