"Lunar Caustic" by talented photo-media artist Renate Rienmueller shows old and new photographic techniques and printing processes. Video shows her process and fascinating experience of attaching her 100 years old camera to the high-tech equipment at the Stromlo Observatory in Canberra and her continuous experiments through Silver Nitrate show an incredible result of her main object: the moon.
We also follow closely some of Renate's photographic processes and other interesting studies of wet plate photography.
Certainly, her work has an incredible message in favor of the preservation of magic and the origin of photography.
